 Multimodal transport is a logistics solution that combines two or more modes of transportation—such as trucking, sea freight, and air freight—under a single, coordinated plan.      At Knight Logistics, we successfully completed a challenging multimodal air cargo project, delivering a high-volume shipment of 25 tons, from Vietnam to Congo. The logistics operation combined inland trucking from HCM to HAN airport and air freight to Kinshasa (FIH) and Lubumbashi (FBM), ensuring smooth coordination, safety, and timely delivery at every stage.

I. Factory Pickup & Cargo Preparation

     The shipment was picked up directly from the factory in Vietnam, where our operations team worked closely with the shipper to verify cargo readiness and packaging standards.

     All cargo was properly palletized, secured, and labeled, meeting international transportation requirements and ensuring smooth handling throughout the journey.

II. Inland Transportation (SGN – HAN)

     To support the large shipment volume, container trucking was arranged for inland transportation from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Hanoi (HAN).

     Due to limited access at the factory, Knight’s own trucks were deployed for initial pickup before transferring cargo to the container yard. Our team carefully supervised the loading process and container arrangements, ensuring cargo safety and optimal space utilization.

III. Airport Handling at HAN:

     Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, Knight Logistics managed all gate-in procedures and coordinated closely with airport warehouse operators.

     Cargo handling fully complied with airport and airline safety and technical standards, ensuring smooth operations and timely departure.
