KNIGHT LOGISTICS HANDLES EXPORT OF 2,000 LONG-TAILED MACAQUES BY CHARTER FLIGHT

     Handling live animal shipments requires specialized knowledge: from document and permit checks to full compliance with CITES and IATA Live Animals Regulations, every step of the process is closely controlled. Acceptance, handling, and packing are all carried out with precision to protect the animals and optimize operational efficiency.

     In this project, Knight Logistics arranged the export of 2,000 long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) on a dedicated charter operated by Suparna Airlines, flight Y8-7456, departing from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The shipment was received at the SCSC cargo terminal and ground-handled by SAGS. To keep incidental costs to a minimum, the entire operation had to be film organized in advance and executed swiftly, accurately, and safely.

     Below are highlights of Knight Logistics’ procedure for handling this complex export shipment of 2,000 long-tailed macaques on the charter flight:
